With all the peppermint mochas, sugar cookies, and fruit cake how can you resist? Now we aren't telling you to pass up Grandma's annual christmas fudge, but why not supplement that tasty holiday goodness with a little fitness challenge? Welcome to your Conditioning Specialists updates for the week of 12/2!

Thanksgiving has passed and December is officially here! Which means a new fun fitness challenge is up on the Conditioning Specialists' studio chalkboard waiting to be met. This month's challenge is to beat the battle we have all faced at one point or another with the holiday bulge. The challenge is to complete the following exercises in the best time (exercise b is an easier alternative exercise).

Exercise 1a: 10 Chin-ups 
Exercise 1b: 10 Lat pull downs

Exercise 2a:10 Box jumps
Exercise 2b: 20 TRX jump squats

Exercise 3a: 10 Walk-out push ups

Exercise 4a: 10 each side  DB alternating lunges
Exercise 4b: 10 each side DB split squats

Exercise 5a: 100 Jump rope

At Conditioning Specialists, we like to have a challenge each month to motivate  our clients to push themselves and have a little fitness fun. This past month of November we had our Santa Cruz Island rowing challenge. The distance from Santa Barbara to the nearest Channel Island, Santa Cruz is 41,842.9 meters. We asked our clients to take the challenge and use our in-studio rowing machine to cummulatively row the distance. We are happy to announce one of our clients, Dina Al Essa made it the whole way to Santa Cruz! You can see how far the rest of our inspiring clients came (the youngest at age 6)!
